Texas Tower Processes Passports for Children Fast

All minors, regardless of age, must have a valid passport for international travel. This includes newborns. If ordering a passport for your child, make sure your departure date is at least 14 days from the date of your order.

Acquiring a Passport for Your Child

| Complete and print the passport application online at the Department of State. Do not sign. | Department of State’s passport portal. |
| Include 2 passport quality photos. | We recommend that you have these pictures taken by a facility familiar with passport photo requirements, such as Walgreens, CVS, or Kinko’s. |
| Proof of Identity | Original or Certified copy of the birth certificate. |
| Payment to Department of State | Check for $140, payable to the Department of State. |
| One copy of mother and father’s state-issued ID. | If one of the parents cannot be present at the time of execution of the documents, then a notarized Form DS-3053 is needed. |

| 2 copies of the Authorization for Texas Tower to act on your behalf. Please place one inside the sealed envelope and leave one out for us. | Authorization letters (see files below) |
| Take your documents to your local post office to be witnessed, signed, and sealed. Once sealed, do not open the envelope. You can find a complete list of local agencies at http://iafdb.travel.state.gov | The Passport Agency Deputy will charge an execution fee of $35. |
